I Go You Go Kettlebell Workout & Why Fun Matters in Fitness
Why Fun Matters in Fitness (Yes, Really!)
Let’s be honest—if workouts feel like a chore, how long are you really going to stick with them? One of the biggest things we focus on in our training sessions, whether it’s 1:1 or in our small group Hybrid Strength classes, is making sure you’re not just working hard, but also enjoying the process.
We sometimes enjoy using partner-style workouts to keep things fun, engaging, and motivating. When you train with someone else, especially in a supportive setting, you push a little harder, laugh a little more, and before you know it, the workout flies by.
Case in point: Coach Jess and Micah recently threw down an I-Go-You-Go style kettlebell workout—mixing in swings, goblet squats, single arm rows, and elevated push-ups. The twist? We were counting down reps on some moves, counting up on others... and we ended up having so much fun (though Jess may have been bored watching me swing at times) that we actually lost track of reps and high-fived early! (No regrets)
Sure, we both love going hard and chasing personal bests. But for most people, especially those training for general health and fitness, your workouts should feel good more often than not. That’s what keeps you consistent—and consistency is what gets results.
So whether you want to push to new levels, or just feel strong, energized, and enjoy the process, we’ve got you. Come work with us 1:1, or check out our small group personal training class, Hybrid Strength, where we blend strength and conditioning in a format that’s as effective as it is fun
I Go You Go: A Quick, Full-Body Kettlebell Countdown

The workout is simple:
✅ 4 moves, 1 kettlebell, zero rest for the bell, partners rest when the other is working
✅ Count down from 10 reps to 1 and up from 1 rep to 10 (so 10 reps of each move, then 9, then 8… all the way to 1; and vice versa )
✅ The moves:
Russian Swings- Count Down
Goblet Squats- Count Up
Push-Ups- Count Down
Single Arm Kettlebell Row (per arm)- Count Up
